In a new feature interview for the Time100 Next List, Sabrina Carpenter responds to fans and parents who are critical of the pop star’s sexualized live show on her just-launched Short n’ Sweet tour. Carpenter’s new songs are equal parts lovelorn and lustful, which should have given her audience a clue as to what her current live shows would be like, but some are still shocked by what they have seen. “You’ll still get the occasional mother that has a strong opinion on how you should be dressing. And to that I just say, don’t come to the show and that’s OK,” Carpenter said. “My fans online are like, I can’t believe she’s bending over in front of her grandparents! I’m like, girl, they are not paying attention to that. They’re just like, I can’t believe all these people are here.” Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet tour continues on Saturday (October 5) at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore. (Rolling Stone)
